Eidolon

Canvas • Mixed Media • Imaginary Face • Mythology

35 × 27 × 2 cm

This work stems from an in-depth exploration of the visible and the hidden, using oil, ink, golden paint and acrylic to create a symbolic and figurative atmosphere. Eidolon comes from the Greek and means ‘appearance’ or ‘double’. I wanted to convey the duality of human identity – that blend of light and shadow that we all carry within us. When you hang it in your home, you will feel an energy of mystery and reflection that invites you to look beyond the surface.
